Ben is undoubtedly one of the world’s most exciting Rugby players. His youth and enthusiasm in partnership with his blistering pace, sidestepping ability and defence second-to-none made him a Wallaby at just 19. By age 20, Ben was a regular and integral member of the Australian Rugby Union side.
1996 was a big year for Ben, making his Test debut for Australia against Wales, followed by representing his country in the Tri-Nations series. In 1997, his rugby career skyrocketed. After an outstanding season for Queensland, again being one of the Super 12's leading try-scorers, Ben moved on to exciting rugby audiences world wide in his second season with the Wallabies.
The headlines read "Two try Tune stuns Boks", "Tune hits high note in Test arena", "In-tune Ben's magic touch match winner" and "Tune's solo performance lifts Wallabies" to name just a few of the accolades Ben has been receiving for his extraordinary performances and try-scoring feats.
In 1999 Ben achieved a life long dream as part of Australia's magnificent World Cup winning Wallabies. To top it off, he scored the match winning try in the final and has since been named in the "World Cup Team of the Tournament".
The sky's the limit for this talented young player who's skills and natural flair will ensure that he is part of Australian and World Rugby for years to come.
